- 20% tuition discount on the English for Academic Success (EFAS) program
- Students who are academically admissible to graduate programs (Master’s or PhD) at the University of Waterloo, but do not meet the English language requirement, may be presented with a conditional offer of admission to a future term based on successful completion of the English for Academic Success (EFAS) program. EFAS supports students as they acquire the competencies and confidence needed to fully participate and thrive in their graduate studies. McMaster University

- Students accepted in a graduate program at McMaster University can participate in the MODEL* program. This service is free to current students.
- 20% tuition discount on the MERGE** program
- *MODEL offers English-language training, workshops, and support, developed by certified ESL and EAP experts, to meet the needs of McMaster students of all academic backgrounds and levels of English language proficiency.

Université Laval
Graduate programs
- PhD programs
- Tuition will be at domestic rates (for up to four years).
- Depending on the program and at the discretion of the faculty, department, and the teaching staff, support may be provided.
- Depending on the program and availability of positions, Teaching Assistant positions may be made available.
- Research Master Programs
- Depending on the program and at the discretion of the faculty, department, and the teaching staff, support may be provided.

- Language programs
- International students who are enrolled in a program leading to a degree (master’s, or doctorate) qualify for a supplemental tuition fee exemption for any French course recognized by the Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur in which they enroll. Students are charged the Québec rate for these French courses. The École de langues (the University's School of Languages, or ÉLUL) offers several scholarships covering tuition and ancillary fees for French as a second language (FSL) course.
- Graduate students could be allowed to conduct their research and write their thesis or dissertation in English (upon approval from their research supervisor and program director). Specific requirements may depend on the study program. Find more information at: www.ulaval.ca/studyfrench
Queen’s University
Graduate programs

University of Ottawa
Graduate programs
- Differential tuition fee exemption – A differential tuition fee exemption for new international students enrolled full-time in a French-language program or who are enrolled in an English-language program, Master or Ph.D. program, with a French immersion option means that their tuition fees can be reduced to equal those paid by Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
- International Doctoral Scholarship – Awarded to reduce the tuition fees to the equivalent of the PhD Canadian tuition fees. Review eligibility criteria at https://www.uottawa.ca/study/
